About Zuzana:

Zuzana is a collaborating senior lawyer at Urban & Hejduk with previous experience from a leading Czech law firm and a legal department of a major international company. She provides comprehensive legal advice to Czech and foreign clients in all phases of court proceedings, intellectual property issues and issues in the area of law of obligations.  

She has contributed to representing clients in dozens of complicated cases. As a part of her practice at the law firm, Zuzana specializes in representing corporations in unfair competition disputes, IP law disputes and disputes concerning the protection of reputation. In addition, she specializes in contractual relations, including IT law, in which she has experience in preparing various types of contracts.   

As part of her practice, she assists clients in the area of intellectual property rights, especially in registering trademarks and designs at the Industrial Property Office (UPV), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). She represents clients in the subsequent protection of their rights through customs and the courts. She has extensive experience with internal market measures, boarder measures and subsequent seizures of counterfeits. At the same time, she represented clients in trademark, design and patent disputes including preliminary injunction proceedings. She is certified by EUIPO and enlisted by UPV for providing funded services IP Scan and IP Enforcement Scan.     

Last but not least, Zuzana provides advice on civil, commercial, and employment law. 

She graduated in the area of general law from the Faculty of Law of Charles University and completed a six-month study program at the Faculty of Law of Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands. Later, she graduated in the area of intellectual property law from the Technische Universität Dresden by completing LL.M. study program International Studies in Intellectual Property Law.
