Litigation and arbitration
When dealing with disputes, we seek the optimal solution for our clients. We help our clients reach an amicable settlement with respect to disputes that is usually the most effective in terms of time and costs. If such a solution is not possible, we represent clients in court proceedings in the Czech Republic.
In foreign disputes, we arrange for our clients legal representation through our collaborating colleagues abroad. In this respect, we mainly take advantage of our cooperation with the reliable Grimaldi Alliance network, i.e. an international alliance of independent law firms, which provides our clients with the benefit of fast and affordable services.
We also have extensive experience with arbitration proceedings before the Czech Arbitration Court and at foreign institutions, such as the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), or the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC). We also provide representation in ad hoc arbitration, including proceedings according to the UNCITRAL arbitration rules and also in international sports arbitration.
The most frequent disputes that we handle in our practice are disputes over purchase agreements and contracts for work, as well as disputes relating to employment, unfair competition, industrial property rights, and protection of the individual.
Our lawyers act as legal representatives and advisors for clients as well as arbitrators (e.g. at the Czech Arbitration Court or in the Board of Arbitrators of the Czech Football Association).
